Compassionate Communication Workshop
How often when you are talking with someone you feel stressed and start focusing on what you will answer instead of listening fully? What about the repetitive arguments you have with maybe a family member that never seem to resolve and instead feel like its getting worse all the time.
Compassionate communication is about learning from the difficult conversations we have with family, colleagues and others, and practicing how to express our feelings and needs to support connection and growth.

This workshop is about how we communicate with ourselves and others. It follows the basics of Nonviolent Communication developed by Marshall Rosenberg as well as mindfulness and compassion influences. You will learn how to contect to and express your feelings and needs, as well as gain insights of your triggers and conditioning.
The workshop is offered on a weekly basis with 75 minute sessions over a period depending on your skills. During the sessions we discuss examples of communication that you find challenging in your life, maybe with a colleague, a family member or a partner, and how to practice new skills in your everyday.

Inner Critic &
Rumination Workshop
What is it?
The inner critic is a term used to describe a negative or judgmental inner voice. The inner critic can be particularly active in times of stress or when we are facing challenges or setbacks.
Rumination is the act of thinking excessively or repetitively about negative thoughts, feelings or experiences. Rumination has been found to be a major hindrance to the success of depression treatment as well as a main cause for relapse.
How does it work?
Our work starts by gaining a developmental understanding of the inner critic or rumination; both are often learned behaviors from childhood or extreme life events. We then equip you with the skills needed to become aware of their arising during your day as well as growing the voice of the inner supporter.

Awareness & Change
Workshop
What is it?

This workshop focuses on the fundamental skills of awareness needed to gain insight about our reactive patterns as well as our underlying needs that are camouflaged by our behaviour and our environment. Awareness is the first step, to bring about change we then need to acknowledge whatever stressful events to allow them to dissipate. The last step is to practice new behavior accordingly over time to integrate the change into our default mode. This technique for tackling change is useful in most daily stressful situations we encounter.

How does it work?
Through our discussions, you will learn techniques to bring about awareness in you everyday life. These techniques will be simple tasks, taking a few seconds to minutes, that are customized to your routines at work, home, or with others. When we gain insights into any unhealthy habits we start building up the skills needed to acknowledge and move on to integration of strategies that support your current needs.
