About the event

If there is one thing you take with you, let it be this: the heart does not overthink. Simple and transformative.

We all have moments when we pull away from our feelings and experiences. Perhaps it's intellectualizing a situation instead of feeling it, burying yourself in tasks to avoid emotional pain, or mentally checking out during a difficult conversation. These are the protective shields we raise when connection feels too risky.

The habitual pattern: when discomfort arises, we create emotional distance. We overthink, we distract, we numb. We retreat into our heads and away from the vulnerability of direct experience.

Healing begins with awareness. Notice when your mind starts analyzing instead of feeling. Pay attention to the physical sensations that signal you're withdrawing—perhaps tension in your chest, shallow breathing, or a subtle bracing in your body. These sensations are your early warning system, telling you that you're creating emotional distance.
